Haverfordwest itself is
Pembrokeshire’s historical County Town, and Chepstow is situated
right in the heart of it.
There are many places to eat and drink, a
wealth of varied shops, pretty town walks, a golf-club, cinema,
and the imposing castle ruins (with its informative museum),
which are visible from almost everywhere in town.
We are a short drive from the popular
attractions of
Oakwood
(Wales’ most famous theme park),
Scolton Manor Country Park,
Folly Farm,
and many others.
Pony-trekking, cycling, boat-trips,
sailing, and walking are just some of the things Pembrokeshire
has to offer.
Chepstow is also perfectly-situated to
visit
The County Show, which takes place every summer, and
provides an opportunity to really get a taste of Pembrokeshire
life.
We are also ideally suited to reach
Fishguard, and the ferry crossing to Ireland. |
Newgale Beach |
A much-visited area is that of
St Davids, the Smallest City in the UK, which is only twenty
minutes away by car. Here you can visit the famous
St
Davids Cathedral and Bishops Palace (there are outdoor plays
perfomed throughout the summer).
Take a boat out to
Ramsey Island, visit the lifeboat at St Justinians, or if you
feel particularly adventurous, try your hand at “Coasteering”,
climbing and abseiling at the
Twr-Y-Felin centre.
